The 4th Session of China Trademark Festival
& 2011 China Trademark Annual Meeting
Chengdu, September 5 to 8, 2011

Sir,
I have the pleasure to invite you to be represented at the 4th Session of China Trademark Festival (CTF) &
2011 China Trademark Annual Meeting (CTAM 11’), scheduled to be held from September 5 to 8,
2011 in Chengdu, a picturesque city of Sichuan Province in the southwest of China.
With the approval by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce (SAIC), CTA and the Chengdu
Municipal Government are to host the above events themed as “Implementing Trademark Strategy to
Promote Western Area Development”.
The 4th CTF will include major activities as follows:
Opening ceremony of the 4th CTF;
Exhibition on Achievements by Model Enterprises and Model Cities in Implementing Trademark Strategy;
CTAM 11’;
2011 China Trademark Awards;
Awarding Ceremony of 2011 Consumers' favorite "Green Trademarks";
Awarding Ceremony of 2011 Outstanding Trademark Agencies; and
Announcement of 2009-2010 Top Ten Influential Trademark Events in China.
Following the previous six consecutive annual meetings since 2005, CTA has developed CTAM into
a renowned event that has greatly promoted the development of Chinese trademark industry and
its international communication. CTAM provides, per annum, a China-based international platform
which offers in-depth discussions on traditional issues, including:
New development of the international and Chinese trademark regulations and practice;
Chinese and foreign regulations and practice in respect of geographical names as trademarks;
The situation and new trend of trademark infringement on the Internet; and
Analysis on preemptive registrations.
Under the guidance of the China Trademark Office (CTMO), CTAM 11’ would like to present
various forums on hot topics in the field of trademarks, including:Ÿ
Theme forum on implementing trademark strategy to promote western area development;
International trademark regulations and practice forum;
Typical trademark cases analysis forum;
Forum on balancing urban and rural development and implementing trademark strategy;
Round-table conference on the Madrid system for the international registration of marks;
Chinese-foreign trademark agencies cooperation and development summit;
Forum on development of Chinese liquors' trademarks; and
Forum on implementing trademark strategy to promote medical industry development.
CTA will invite officials from different countries and organizations, including World Intellectual
Property Organization, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Japan Patent Office,
Korean Intellectual Property Office to be presented and delivery speeches on hot topics.
Senior judges, IP experts, civil societies, entrepreneurs, lawyers, agencies and etc.
will be invited to attend the 4th CTF & CTAM 11’ as well.
It is estimated that there will be about 800 attendees.
